Long term storage of lures with tubing (or most man made materials) can damage the paint. Most of what I sell is consigned and I only have it a short time.<br>I don't normally renmove them dang tubes since I only have the lures a short time and removal can be tricky and time consuming.<br>.<br>plastic tubing "protectors" that have ruined more lures than they ever saved.  Folks selling tubing will tell you it is safe, but will they be around in 20 years?
